1st Dan – Beginning of Mastery

🥋 1st Dan – Black Belt Syllabus Overview

The 1st Dan syllabus marks your transition from student to practitioner — focusing on power, precision, and composure. You’ll refine fundamental techniques through sitting stance punches, stretching and conditioning kicks, and controlled execution of core kicks such as front, side, turning, back, and reverse turning kicks.

Advanced drills introduce special kicking combinations, Koryo form, and tactical one-step sparring to develop timing and counterattack flow. Training also covers self-defence fundamentals and strength work to build endurance and mental discipline — the foundation of a true Black Belt.
