LTW Crowned Overall Team Champions in Major Taekwondo Competition
London Taekwondo Warriors (LTW) proudly secured the 1st Place Team Trophy at the prestigious Dr Park Cha Sok Inaugural Memorial Cup 2026, held at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury.
The event brought together talented Taekwondo athletes and martial arts clubs from across the United Kingdom for a day of high-level Kyorugi (Olympic-style sparring competition). LTW competitors delivered exceptional performances throughout the tournament, demonstrating discipline, resilience, tactical awareness and true martial arts spirit.
Through determination, teamwork and consistent preparation, LTW achieved an outstanding overall medal tally:
- 🥇 8 Gold Medals
- 🥈 5 Silver Medals
- 🥉 10 Bronze Medals
These results secured the club’s overall championship title and the prestigious 1st Place Team Trophy.
Excellence in Competitive Taekwondo
Competitive Taekwondo requires far more than physical fitness alone. Athletes must develop explosive speed, coordination, reaction timing, strategic thinking and psychological resilience under pressure. The success achieved at this competition reflects the effectiveness of LTW’s structured coaching philosophy and long-term athlete development approach.
At London Taekwondo Warriors, students are trained to develop both technical excellence and strong character traits including discipline, confidence, emotional control, perseverance and respect.
The LTW Training Philosophy
A core principle embedded within LTW’s coaching culture is:
“Train harder to fight easier.”
This philosophy is rooted in sport science and motor learning principles. Repetitive technical practice, conditioning and tactical preparation improve neuromuscular efficiency, decision-making speed and performance consistency during competition.
The Memorial Cup results demonstrated the direct impact of disciplined training and athlete commitment.
More Than Medals
While winning the team trophy was a major achievement, the competition also highlighted the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and personal growth. Every competitor represented LTW with professionalism, courage and humility, reinforcing the values of traditional martial arts.
Success in Taekwondo extends beyond medals — it develops resilience, focus, confidence and lifelong discipline that transfer into education, health and everyday life.
